The APC200-E electric air dryer features a fan cooled heat exchanger, water droplet filter and a micro mist separator which combine to remove moisture from the compressed air.
As heated air from the compressor enters into and passes through the heat exchanger, a 12V DC electric cooling fan forces ambient air through the heat exchanger cooling fins, which reduces the temperature of the compressed air to almost ambient level. This reduction results in any water vapour within the air steam condensing back into water droplets.
After passing through the heat exchanger, the compressed air the enters the water filter, where a filter element removes the water droplets from the air stream as it passes through the filter.
The final filtration is by way of a micro mist filter, which then removes particulates and oil from the air stream.
